hey all,
i made this cool monster i call the steam-roller, this is not textured yet, but the normal map is shown on him, leave crits if you can!~ |
Looks cool Joopson - but at the moment he looks a little off balance, as if he is leaning back - It may be the camera angle though - more views please.
|

umm... I hope you know that applying a normal map isn't applying it as a color... you need a normal map node and everything
|
I like his face, looks sort of grinnig. But he seems to have some sort of hole in his belly, why's that.
And what is a normal map and why is this map manifested in funky colours? ;) |
oh, lol, i know normal maps arent supposed to be colored, but the normal map was rendering all messed up, so i attached the colors to it, lol,

Yeah - looks like he is resting on his tail at the moment. I would focus on getting him standing up straight before you move on to the next stage. Basically you need to think about how your character is balanced - where his central weight is - and then work out how you want the various parts of his body to sit on this central line - usually a figure looks balanced when the central axis of each limb shift in opposite directions... I am not being very clear so I have drawn a quick exaggerated sketch to give you an idea. Hope this helps!
 |
lol, thanks, i already rigged him, so i can pose him like that, lol
