i decided to make a Nubian Ibex. It kinda looks like a crossbreed between a goat and a gazelle :D http://www.rotbol.dk/sketches/smchallenge/nubibex.jpg |
lol but which one was the father?
|

another update!
nostrils blocked out, neck extruded and some refinements of the headshape etc. http://www.rotbol.dk/sketches/smchallenge/progres2.jpg |
time for yet another update!
modelled ears and attached them to the head. They still need some tweaking but hey! Rome wasnt build in 1 day :D http://www.rotbol.dk/sketches/smchallenge/progres3.jpg Kim |
Nice start. And interesting pick of an animal, this should be fun to model, love the long horns. Wicked! Great choice! :attn:
|
Looks amazing, Kim .. This is definately the best you have come up with to date !
|
Cali: thanks! doing what i can to make this one my absolute best ever :)
Tiago2: i still havent decided if i should do the extremely large horns or just the short ones i've build for now. but yeah. a wicked creature indeed :D Small update: trying to get the skin to fit around the base of the horns.. my base mesh is a mess full of tri's, quads and 5+ sided polys right now. Will be cleaned ofcourse :) http://www.rotbol.dk/sketches/smchallenge/progres4.jpg |
wow! Excellent!
|
Great start Rotbol. Definately think you should go for the large horns. They will look really cool winding around the head, as in your reference picture.
|
BIG HORNS !!! GO GO !!!
|
good progress, you'll have this finished in no time :)
|
ok big horns it is!
didnt get much done today.. but at least i made some bigger horns. no details yet though. http://www.rotbol.dk/sketches/smchallenge/progres5.jpg |
Looks good. The horns are definately better. And I really like the way you have done the ear.
|
another update.
I've started adding details to the horns. I'm doing it on each horn seperately to ensure asymmetri. http://www.rotbol.dk/sketches/smchallenge/progres6.jpg |
