hi

i press x to snap my faces to the gridline but they only extrude out halfway and i get this horrible pointy bit sticking out to far. the instructor in dvd has his geom. smack on the button. anyone know why?

you need to go into the attributes of the move tool and turn off "retain componant spacing" at the bottom

should sort you out

just take the scale and scale it to it looks right.
