scaling probleme
 
I use Maya 8.0 and here is my probleme:

As you can see here, i can scale this face on the z axis.

But what i need, is to scale in the z axis all those faces at the same time and i just cant find how!

Select all the faces you want to scale, then scale them on the Z axis. OR, select all the vertex's of the faces, then scale those.

No, hmm, when i do that, it doesnt allow me to scale the faces as i do in the first screenshot... hmm, i dont find the good words...

When i select all the faces, the pivote change of position to be between of all of them and it doesnt allow me to scale as i would if i select only one face.
