Can someone tell me why my paint effects dont show up when i do a mental ray render?? Maya 5.0 Win 2k

Currently, I believe you need to convert your PFX to polys for MR to have an effect on them:(

that is correct. Mental Ray won't render Paint FX unless its been converted to poly (which you'll need maya 5 for).
