Image Size???????
 

I need to be able to view a very large texture in real time to do some work on it but once My maps get bigger than about 3000 X 3000 they just show up as white.
I tried changing Max Texture Display Res in the display preferences but when I save the changes and come back, they are back to what they were before. Has anyone else encountered this?

Maybe you just forgot to press 6 to activate texturing.

Or, it may be just a bug, so if you restart maya it might work.

Or...., I notice that a lot of peolple drag textures incorrectly from the hypershade window, so make sure you did it right. Hold ur middle mouse key and drag to ur shape.

Lastly, your computer may not be strong enough to view huge figures and the textures may be messed up.

Yeah it might be my computer since I did everything else right. Maybe when I get a new one it will work.

You can always try using a smaller map.
