Freelance Work

I had a mail today from my contact at AW - the mail said the following:

------------------------------------------------

Hi Kev,

Do you own or have access to a list of Maya freelancers ? Have a few games companies and film companies interested.

Appreciate your response.

------------------------------------------------

So If you are looking for any maya freelance work then please put your name and contact details in here... including a link to any work that you want to show.

am i allowed to freelance at 15 with no skills at all? if so put me down :)

Ian 13-11-2002 07:04 PM

I'm not very good at Maya at the moment, but it any of those companies would offer me any work they would get a hard worker.

I think that one of the problems with this industry at the moment is that you have to be brilliant at Maya to apply for jobs, no one wants to give people a chance i.e. apprentiships anymore which make it even harder. I'd better get learning!

WOW! This is like a once in a lifetime chance it seems! Who would have thought that Alias|Wavefront would contact Kevin for recruitment purposes! Ahh! This is so incredibly cool! And it's all thanks to Kevin for making this site! Unfortuanatly, I am only 17 and not that experienced at Maya, so there is no chance of me getting to do this. However, I have never felt so inspired to learn more about Maya until now. Mtmckinley said it best -
