Thats what I assumed Mike but I can't find any confirmation that it was an April fools prank.
It certainly looks real enough, I bet a few ppl are a little worried ...hehe.

I'd say someone other than discreet has fooled you. Look closely at the URL. Every other press release is hosted from "http://www4.discreet.com/company/press.php?id=" along with the article's id number. Strange that the release you have is from "http://discreet.alteea.com/" Which reports a 404 error btw.

Nice catch, mhcannon! If you look at the actual Press page... that news is not there. Wow, I was finding that very hard to believe. Haha, I got scared for a minute, as I use both Maya and 3ds max.
