Combining/merging/sewing polys?

Its the school holidays in my country now and so I decided to sit down and start modelling something?! This is my first real lone attempt and i have hit a brick wall:banghead:

How do I actually join these 2 sides of the ship so their edges are one, not so one is parented under the other?

pretty simple, looks like both the sides are the same, so what you have to do is,,

delete one of the two models,, select the undeleted polygon object, goto polygons -> mirror geometry

and check the options if it is mirrored in the wrong direction,

hope that helps,
Tariq

Check normals also on both sides before merging vertexes.

I've got a mirroring video tutorial at my site, if interested. ;)

Link in sig.

Excellent one by the way.

That´s where I learned to check those normals
