Obviously, he's missing his hands and feet, but I'll finish those later. Any comments are welcome.

looks like a nice model so far - any chance we can see some close ups and maybe a screen grab or two from the maya workspace.

It looks nice, :) how do you render it so that the shadow looks so cartonish?

dude thats awesome cartoon scele with a top hat ive been waiting for someone to do that forever

all id say to do is to srtetch out the ribs a bit so they go lower than they do rite now:beer: just a little bit though or else it wont flow with the rest of the model:bow:

It looks really good, especially with the toon render, but I think the shadows are a bit too dark.

thanks guys. This particular job was done for a band to make some type of flyer. The reference was a drawing but not that great so I had to use anatomy images and then deform the model to match drawing.http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...nreference.jpg

Looks cool, only crit is that the hip looks abit too small ... :) It would be funny if you rigged this up because you'd be rigging bones to bones, GET IT? haha :p

"how do you render it so that the shadow looks so cartonish?"

I think its Vector rendering,

i'm actually just using a toon shader and rendering in maya software. the only problem with that is you have less freedom with texturing, like bump.
I should rig this guy, but I'm pretty bad at it.

Check out some tuts with Digital Tutors. They're the best with video tutorials for digital programming. Sweet model and I love the application of the toon render on the skeleton! It works well! Like was said earlier, you might try to lighten the shaddows a little or give it a little bit of a midtone. KUTGW!!

Take luck!
