little question with the walk cycle tutorial
 

I m quite a newbie in Maya. but I want to try the walk cycle tutorial so I get it and no chance I am stuck at the begining.

I try to fulfill the instruction in the begining and want to move only the left foot . (as in the movie)
But why all the boy move when I move the left foot (I m sure that I get the same part of the skeleton like in the tutorial because I see in the chanel box that I get the L_foot)
perhaps there is something that I have to do before I get it. but it is not so clear in the tutorial movie.
