eyebrows

Hi,
Im relatively new to maya and am texturing a model for the first time. I seem to have done ok so far but am a bit confused at the issue of texture mapping the lips and eyebrows as part of the whole face texture map. It seems to me that the maps in the eyebrow and lip area are likely to become distorted once facial animation takes place.
Is it best to single out the faces of the lips and eyebrows and then apply a seperate texture to that of the whole face?
or even build seperate eyebrows which sit on the surface? (is cartoony character)
or any other suggestions?

any help would be most appreciated indeed

Matt

suppose it would depend on the look you wanted, but I've generally seen textures work fine, when used in conjunction with bump maps, spec maps, etc.

I suppose you could also use fur or paintfx or something for the eyebrows if you wanted that look.

the eyebrows and lip textures shouldn't distort any more than the rest of the face texture. In other words its not normaly nesisary to make seprat textures. Try to keep the distance between the vertix's the same when you do blendshaps for your face.
