I was just wondering if anny of the people that work for simply maya went to a school to learn what they know and how did you learn and were from?

i didnt go to school ..i just have the good tutorials from here ...and some other dvds and books. But I am learning ..i have a work in progress if you want to see been working around a month if that

yes I am a noobie ...but above is my work . But so far i am self taught and everyone on this site will help you out if you have problems

i have been working with maya for a couplr monts and i have learnd by my self and videos and some books but i really hope to get as good as every one else working here at simply maya

but yes some just learn by my method or go to school .But most of all practice and practice.

I am self taught- have been using Maya for about 2 years (click on link in my signature if u wanna see my work).

But yeah, people here are very helpful.

Right now the big thing im working on is shadows and the lighting like i can't get the a shadow when I render it if I add a light there still isnt anny shadows there.


i tryed that out on this one with a tree

In the shadows tab of the lights, theres a option to switch it on, also in hte attridubtes theres the option to cast shadows

i taught myself to, but i only been maya for lik 4 months or somthing like that. but i am only 15 just truned it, i plan to go to a college that teachs it. www.jpcatholic.com , yeah i am catholic lol.

I am 13. I think I am the youngest here. Oh wait, theres that 11 year old kid, the one with the 2.6million poly cup :D

And I don't plan on going to a 3d Graphics college, I want to either be a 3d Graphics programmer (see my raytracer link in my signature, (the interesting stuff comes later in the thread so u know)) or I want to be a Doctor in Internal Medicine.
