Rendering Particles/ with GIJoe
1 Attachment(s)
Hi all, I've been working on my demo reel. The scene is night time and its raining. I used the Simply Maya rain tutorial to learn about particles/emitters etc. Good tutorial. But now I want to render them in a scene. I'm not too sure about rendering dynamics, I know that "hardware render buffer" is used. And I managed to actually render up a targa sequence with basic lighting which I added to the scene. But when I applied the GI_JOE script to the scene, and then attempted to render the sequence there was no change in lighting.
Has anyone had a problem similar to this one, or do I need to turn something on in the attributes so that global illumination can be seen in my final targa sequence? climaax portfolio |
the hardware render buffer is used to hardware render particles (doh! ;)) and thus i'm not sure if GI joe will affect the particles. As a general rule hardware rendered particles suck cause they are rendered in open gl and thus look crappy (technical explanation i know!! :D)
If you want to use the GI_Joe script i think you're gonna have to use software rendered particles (indicated by the "s/w" after the particle type in the type options) hope this is helpfull Alan |
