Need opinions for new book

Hey, guys, in one of my chapters, I'm going to cover making a weapon. What would you guys most want to see as a book's lesson?

Hey Mike

am sending a PM to you.

I think it all depends on if your concentrating on modeling or texturing, if modeling I think a spear is possibly too simple to be interesting. (and to a lesser extend a grenade)
Of all the things on that list, id like to see an ornate sword (because they can be difficult (if youre not really sure how to tackle it) and a bit more interesting

In the absence of more detail, I would concur with elephantic and and say the ornate sword sounds most interesting.

the 6 shooter for me!

Never got round to modeling one!

Modeling and texturing will be gone over. Thanks for the input!

The six shooter is a close second for me

I'd say the six shooter, has probably got the most individul parts so both modeling and texturing would be covered well, using polys and nurbs/sub-D's for different parts.
Second would be the ornate sword, but only if the handle was very highly decorated.
Good luck with whichever you choose Mike, I'll look forward to reading it!

if you choose a sword you should make it really fancy, including the blade
not just some plan ol' flat piece of metal

give it an interesting shape and pattern to show it just came out of the blacksmith

oh yeah - 6 shooter is a great idea. a grenade would be cool too though. :)
