I'm going to build a few starships for a short. And possibly low poly versions for a game mod.

Heres the basic shape of the one man fighter:

Looks cool what game mod?

A BF2 mod i'm talking to some people about creating set on various lunar bases around Jupiter and Saturn (with a faction from each). The mod will be considerably different to BF2142 tho.

Quick update, I've placed most of the basic stuff down, i changed the area around the cockpit slightly as it didn't look right once 3D:

Yeah i know what you mean about the hover type vehicle. Hmm...i need to decide if i'll change the model or the scene. I think i'll be the scene. The classic canyon chase maybe.

The whole thing is modeled in nurbs. Each panel line is simply 2 curves very close together projected on the surface and trimed out.

Heres an update, as i have decided to have it land based machine now i wanted a roof scoop. Chavtastic (suppose you've got to be british to understand that lol)

Btw, pardon my noseyness, but what tablet did you use for your 2D concept sketch? I've been looking to buy a Graphire4 but what you're using might be better :)

I've lost the pen to my tablet so that was on paper to digital camera to photoshop (could even be arsed to plug the scanner in). I had been using the cheap volito, i'm going to get a graphire 4 too...prob the XL. Funny you should bring that up coz i was looking at them about an hour ago. Amazon have them a a good price in the UK
