Is this computer config right one to use maya
I went to maya website and was sure of one thing that maya has extremely high and expensive hardware requirements. :mg:
I went on ebay and this is the most i can afford. I am just a beginner in maya and still learning maya. I dont get into big time rendering for multiple models. I am choosing this hardware because i don't want maya to crash when i am working on it. Will this hardware prevent it? Suggestion are highly appreciated and totally welcomed. :D Intel CPU : Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 2.5GHz, 1333FSB (Quad Core) 6000K Intel Motherboards : Gigabyte GA-P35-S3G P35, 1333FSB, PCI Express, DDR2, Sound, 1Gb LAN DDR2 memory : 4GB (4x1GB) PC5300 DDR2 667 Dual Channel PCI-Express Video cards : GeForce 8500GT 1GB PCI EXpress 16X dual head, tv out Hard Drives : 320.0GB Maxtor/ Seagate 7200rpm SATA2 UDMA 300 16m Cache |

A large HDD is always and advantage, when you have multiple projects thats got a lot of custom textures (colour, bump, spec, displacement etc etc) and your rendering out a high number of frames then you need the extra space.
Also if your doing standard res vidoe editing a 320 gig HDD will get eaten up pretty fast if you do multiple projects that are of any significant legnth (say 30 mins final legnth) |
