DJbLAZER 05-10-2007 03:13 AM

i'm guessing that "sth" is "something"

BadG3r 05-10-2007 03:19 AM

100 veggie points for djblazer

and its not the light the background is so vast and empty. not the light... damn medication.

the dof looks odd. and ive encountered this before, it has to do with the scale of your scene, its best to make the object correct real world scale. the DOF in that render makes it look like they are scale model toy nunchucks.

scale them up, and lessen the dof a bit.

Joopson 05-10-2007 11:33 PM

no, i did that to the DOF on purpose. its not a problem, because i real camera can do the same thing.

AnthonyCg 07-10-2007 10:16 PM

The scene looks good, but the chain stands out more than the actual nunchaku.

heh never heard of Maxwell before. Is it another renderer like Mental Ray? There any advantages like render times or lighting effects above Mental Ray? It sounds like a nice add-in to try out.

Joopson, the scene looks pretty good. The only thing you need to do is fix the shadows and up the lighting.

You might want to play around with the size of the floor texture so that the planks are bigger. They look like typical 2 x 4s so 3 planks width for the length of the (typically 12" long) nunchucku would probably look a bit more natural and not make the weapon look like a toy.

suraj 09-10-2007 11:21 PM

yea nitroliq has a good point

suraj 09-10-2007 11:23 PM

nvm

thanks for the link jr.who
I was more wondering towards your personal opinion though and see why you like it above the other renderers

Well, it’s the best one out there! It’s an unbiased render (I don’t know what that means, but that’s one of the big features :D ). A big thing about it, is that you don’t have to change the settings that much. The only downfall is the long renders, but you can always network render and keep it on through the night.
