whats best for texturing
 
i want to know what way is best for texturing models.
Do u just stick with Maya or 3ds max or can u use photoshop, what do u receomend?

maya's 3d paint is not good enough to make good textures, as a matter fact i would never use it to texture.
but if you have not yet textured anything, photoshop or gimp or paint .NET [ http://www.eecs.wsu.edu/paint.net/ ] is a good way to start. knowing how to properly lay out UVs for poly meshes is also a plus.
