Merge two vertexes into one?

Like you combine two objects into one, is it possible to merge two vertexes into one, so they snap together into one point?

yes of course. you go to "edit polygons->merge vertices []" and in the options you set a higher tolerance. another way out would be to select the edge between the verts and do "edit polygons->collapse"

Ah, thanks mate! Tried that before but it didn't work because I didn't know to set a value in the distance.

Wow, thanks babyduck.. didnt know that second one! (collapse) :O. BTW, opium.. if you need to just get a lot of points merged, and you want it to be in one of the 2 verts specific spots and not center.. you can choose one of the 2 verts, then push (W) for move.. and then hold down C and MMB drag the point to the other point.. it will snap.. now you can merge at .0001 and you can do mass ammounts at once. This is another great technique, because you can design half of a model and then mirror it over and select all the verts on the whole thing if you want and merge with .0001 and it will be one piece :D.. make sure you combine the 2 pieces first. Anyways, cya.
