how to save a shader to the shader library
hi all
how can i save a custom shader in the shader library to use it within different scenes ? thanx |
Select the material in question, and in the Hypershade menus, go to File > Export Selected Network. It'll save the shading network as its own Maya file. Whenever you want to use it again, in the Hypershade, go to File > Import and choose it in your directory.

shader icons
then how do I get a icon for the shader, like in the shader library. Do I have to render each shader out and put it in "RenderSamples" or ?
