Im kinda a newb and am in a tough cookie, could u help me out?
hello all, im new to maya but i have really grown to enjoy what i now and have desired to learn more. i bought eh jedi star fighter tutorial and dragon tutorial. while doing the dragon head tutorial, i had a problem when i was making room for the teeth, (in polygonal mode) but when i changed teh model into a sub d, the mouth part has strange circles where a full square should be, i dont know how to connect the cirlcles either. please help! the cirlces im talking about are where i drew a red rectangle, can someone show me how to connect them? if u have a reply please email me at plug115@gmail.com thnx, i have really been enjoying this site.

ok raywind. when you convert it back to poly you will see that those circles are extracted/single polys. your geometry got broken. just grab one of the circle´s vertex, move it and you will see.
look at this 3 pics here. the first one is a single geometry consisting if 2 faces. when you convert it to subD you get the second geometry. but if you let´s say duplicate the first plane and cut from both planes the opposite face so it seems to be one object - you might even combine the 2 faces - and convert it to subD -> you´ll get pic 3. cheers! |
