This is your first? Pretty good for a first project, :) Keep up the good work.

mtmckinley 20-06-2003 02:21 AM

not bad at all for a first! Keep it up!

Great first work!

Something someone told me once, "There is not a single sharp edge in nature".

Meaning, most of the time, even on things that would appear to have a sharp edge, are actualy beveled a TEENY bit, just enough to throw off a slight glint:)

Try this on your wood base edges, and your metal "cheese-plate" to see what I mean.

A little bit goes a long way to ad that extra touch of realism.

Great job so far!!

interesting. what about light?

daishi 24-06-2003 10:13 PM

A light source almost always has a diameter, resulting in a soft edge of the shadow.

jaybhanushali 25-06-2003 06:47 AM

IIIIIIIIIIIIII A light source almost always has a diameter, resulting in a soft edge of the shadow. IIIIIIIII

hey daishi. thats true!

way to go!

what do u say abt it HAL :)

Cyborg Corp 25-06-2003 02:52 PM

I guess so. I was just curious. :D

Vectorman 26-06-2003 01:36 AM

unless you have a lightsource that is only a sinlge photon wide! although photons don't really have mass, you could still have a "single file" line. haha just F'n with you guys. Nice mousetrap dude! Did ya used to use 3ds or Lightwave?

jaybhanushali 26-06-2003 05:00 AM

ya HAL ! curiousity killed the cat! :)

its cool that u all keep on asking interesting questions.

i too get to know new things and increase my knowledge!

hi vectorman!

thanks for the response.

i used maya for modeling the mouse trap.

i also use max

have worked on max for past 4 years

but i love to work on maya too!

i like modeling things in maya

MAYA is COOL!

jaybhanushali 26-06-2003 05:05 AM

hey vectorman

did u see my " to bee or not to bee" work?

its in "finished work" area

tell me hows it

adldesigner 26-06-2003 05:08 AM

Actually light itself is a an electromagnetic wave.
So not even that single photon would be straight. ;)

Cyborg Corp 26-06-2003 11:31 AM

Is it transverse or the other kind? huh? oh yea, what about sound then!??! isnt that a straight edge?!!? :banghead: ;)

M 26-06-2003 10:32 PM

what the hell.. whats the deal with this :(. I cant even model something like that and its something like my 8th model. You really grasp texturing, and i like how you are learning about Mel scripts already with the twisty wire :)... nice job.
