Thanks! also does anyone know what I am doing wrong when I render my movie. after its done rendering it says something about renderlog.txt and there are no image files in the destination just a .txt document.. thanks! :)

Not bad for a first. And about your problem, did you set the project so it uses the image folder for that particular project's scenes?

Buy the animators survival kit its an excellent spring board, most things are wrong but keep trying dude! Its a BIG learning curve but very rewarding one ive encountered.

Its all under File>Project. I guess its safe to say that you never created a project folder for this in the first place, I suggest you get into the habit lol. Better file management = less hassle.
