Apache test render

Hi Everyone,
This is a test render of my apache from the tutorial, its been a long road so far but not long to go now. Please post any comments. Alan. |
HMM, looks great. But I have not done the tutorial, so I cant give you any real specific pointers. But I did notice the blades for the propeller are looking odd. I cant really give a 100% reason, but it seems like they are obvously nurbs or subdivs, they look very clay like in the texturing, and not very industrial looking, they look almost organic actually. Sorry I cant give you a definite problem, but I guess you could look at that as a good thing.
Good Job, -Ryan |
Alan,
Looks like a good job on the model, although the rotor blades are probably too bent. Not too crazy about the texture though. Looks like photoshop rendered clouds. I'm not sure what you're going for, but for camouflage the patterns are usually more visibly defined. If it's intended to look worn, then you need to be more selective about where the wear is painted in. No plane captain (the person responsible for maintaining and preflighting the aircraft) in their right mind would allow a bird to get that dirtied up. Move in to the animation, that's a great tut also. a ref for wear, not wear the oil spots are: http://www.ifrotary.org/ducks/images/apache-web.jpg a ref for cammo... it's a cobra, couldn't find an apahce in cammo: http://www.santinis.co.za/images/gallery4/thecobra.jpg |
Thankyou
Thanks Ryan, and you Michael, I was'nt really sure what to do
with the blades to be truthful. Re the texture its just maya's ramp and fractal kinda of a desert look. Has I,m only doing the anim at the moment nothing to close so that will do.But has all the surfaces are UV if I want to go for more realism on a close shot my doors are still open. Thankyou again for your time to comment. Alan |
Hmm, you made that with a shader? Nice work, I like it. It seems like it would fit better in a forest type theme. But listen to mhcannon, he is very good at giving help. I guess you can call him a newb LORD. LOL :lmao:
Edit: Hey, I just noticed how I never gave you the credit you deserved for this work. Good Job :attn:, I seriously like it alot. Ok, thats all. |
wow ribbons nice job!
Lookin real nice :attn: |
very nice, what i would expect to see in the finished work section
looks basically finished to me. and i dig the camo, it may not look traditional, but more game like, but i really think it suits it |
Thankyou
Cheers to Ryan again for your comments, also a thankyou to
Meredith, and Turbo Dan for your comments on my image thanks for taking the time to reply. Alan. |
