hola!

can someone please help me make a quick and dirty skin texture(i will be using a painted bitmap i made) shader....im new to maya materials..i dont know how to use eccentricity,specular roll off etc...i cant relate these and some other maya metrial stuff to max's so im kinda lost....

also....i cant manipulate mayas lights attributes...im looking for something like attenuations,control for decays etc...can somebody please ide a blind man...

pls dont direct me to the helpfile...im poor and i fall into the category of people who use contrabanded software for educational purposes only....please dont judge me..

This is the one of the best attempts at skin that Iv'e seen.

How this is done. I don't quite know, I found the tut a bit shorthand as I'm also quite new to shaders etc in Maya.

But, I'm very keen to have someone (anyone please!!!!!) elaborate on this tut, by making it accesible for more as I feel the technique has great potential.

Maybe ask around here at SM for someone to demystify this tech.

AW has a great skin shader plugin on their site. You should check it out.
