Honda Integra Type-R

1 Attachment(s)
Hey everyone. Long time no see. I havent been around at all lately, mainly because of school, and my car (working on my Civic and whatnot..). The past 2 weeks or so, Ive been working on a 1996 Honda Integra Type-R. I have it all modeled (the outside atleast) and Im having troubles with rendering w/HDRI. I cant seem to get the lighting right or something. The car is white, and it just looks wrong. Any suggestions? Hopefully ForumSnowboarder will see this...

nice car choice.

open the matieral shader for your windows and windshield and remove any refraction, its distorting the image under it. there should be no distortion to the seats.

also for hdri, it looks like you have a light in the scene, you should only have one light and that lights intensity should be set to zero

I fixed the refraction, but I have no other lights in the scene. The only light I have, is the HDRI light.

Heres w/the fixed refractions, and I added a directional light w/no intensity, and casted shadows. Still looks abit wierd to me...lighting wise...

ill give you a different paint shader to try.
other than that it could be the problem would be the hdri image could be not positioned right or something.

download this shader from me, and import it into your scene and apply it to the paint instead of the one you are currently using.

in your hdri lower your color gain so its not so bright.

on a side note, the honda integra type r had 5 lugs on the rims, not 4 ;)

Nope. The 1996 JDM Spec ITR has 4 lug. The 1998 ITR has 5 lug. Ive done research on this, mainly b/c I coudnt find alot of ref images online. So over at the other forum Im at, (ClubCivic.com) some of the members found ALOT of images for ref.

Ill give ur paint shader a try. I changed the HDRI map, and re-rendered, and it still just as bright. So Im thinking its the paint shader Im using. Heres the lastest render. Nothing smoothed out, mainly so itll render faster. Notice the interior, on the passenger door. The shading came out nicely I think.

I-Iybrid 24-10-2006 04:15 PM

Haha. The rims are something I made out of boredom, and just threw on the car. They look like shit on the ITR. Im gonna make some different ones, after I get the rendering/lighting issue fixed. Whats wrong w/my Bride seats? I like 'em. :) Make a CTR :)

Heres the car w/the new paint shader, TurboDan. Its really dark. I have it set to fully white, and its comming out grey... I like the reflections on it tho. Really nice.

Alittle update. Re-made the rims, theyre Mugen GP's/Gram Light 57s's. Also, played around w/the paint alittle, and make it more lighter. I had it colored to fully white, and it was commimg out grey, so I made it lighter/whiter. Any comments?
