How to create new layer?
 

Hi,

I got Maya 8.5 and I don't know how to create a new layer.

I have a tutorial where it says that there is an icon at the bottom right of the screen next to display which creates new layers.

But I don't have it. So what's z solution?

Window ->Rendering Editor -> Rendering Layer Editor

that works too, but i figured you might want to have all your stuff displayed if it aint.

how to creater empty layer and how add object in this layer?
