Thanks. Yea it is modelled after my own tower.
I just checked out your object. Looks great. Rather simple though. You might want to consider making more reflections on the metal so it looks more real. Here's the wire. Doesn't really look like much. |
With all this talk about objects being too plain for 2 months and stuff, I just thought I'd let you all know that I'm going to model all of the assembled pieces of my machine (e.g. CD-ROM, harddrive, floppy disk, motherboard, video card, power supply, all of the cords that go inside, etc.)
yea im thinking of another subject, the trowel was having other things along side it to complement it, but i think something new is neeeded.
Well, what I am gonna do is I am gonna make a bunch of objects, and whichever one is the best, that one I will post at the end. BTW, your cpu is pretty good, but tis pretty early at this stage to recieve too much criticizm.

Any suggestions on how to make the cd tray? I have made it and got the shape right but the normals make it look smooth on the bent part, and I can't make all the normals hard or it will look polygon like.
Well howabout making a few close edges and smooth it?
I was thinking about that myself actually. I just wanted to see if there was a way without raising poly count drastically.
get some more updates on looking forward to this model.
