Maya fur
 

in maya 4 unlim fur.. how do make a wind flow through the fur and make it move... or is there a wind generator in maya?
i really would like to know how to do... i have made some "animals" with fur.. but i want wind to flow over them and make the fur move... like real life polar bears.. or almost

I'm not sure about this one. Anyone else? :P

"You can add movement to fur with attractors and dynamics. Using attractors, you manually keyframe fur movement. Using dynamics, you make the fur react to forces, for example, wind and gravity. You can also use dynamics to cause fur to react to movement of the attached surface, for example, as occurs when a dog shakes its hair."

Didn't dig any deeper on this issue tho...

use dynamics if wind is blowing thru the fur, attractors if ur characters moving and the furs moving thru the air :) simple
