Kain (Robocop2) - AKA The Return of Tweetytunes

Well I thought I get back into it buy building another robot type model as my last project was a building. I`m going for Kain from Robocop 2 as it was such a cool robot and I still think the movie is better than most people say it is (although it will never touch the first). I was give a set of Robocop collectables while in hospital and will be building it mostly from that (although some of the mould is bad in places)

thx for the complements but I am very rusty. It took me forever to remember all my hot keys last night. it must be 3 months since I touch a pc

Looking good so far... there seems to be a couple of areas in the model that seem slightly iffy (maybe it's just the render.)

Looking forward to updates.

That looks great. Looks very intricate.

Well got the lower part of the leg blocked out. I have no idea how this leg is surposed to work but is pritty spot on to the model I got. Going to have to watch the film again I think as I want this one rigged and walking.
Bloody 360 got me hooked on so many cool new games, but pulled myself away from it....

It maybe the case as I said I`m just blocking out the main shapes as I don`t want the same problems as I had with the Grimlock I did. I added all the detail and then found out a lot of it was not the right size in robot mode. This time I`m going to get it right then add the detail.

Arrr - just noticed that the image I posed of the Robocop is a animated gif - scared the hell out of me. As you can see I had to remove the pins at the mo due to some scale problems but they were not hard to make - here is some wires for good measure as well - well off to watch the film.

Well that s the blocking of the legs done - still quite a bit of detail I have missed to be put in there but its looking the way I want for now. I also had to straighten up the legs for rigging purposes so the legs look longer than the ref image I posted and my small little model.

Worst thing is I know that was the easy bit.
On with the chest
