simulating moonlight
1 Attachment(s)
Hi,
I'm trying to simulate a night scene where "the moon rises and sets". There are moonlight rays(lightfog) coming through a window in a room. My question is, will there be lightfog coming through the window after the moon has moved above the room or will it go away? ~nspiratn PS:Any feedback on the texturing and lighting of the scene is welcome too. |
I can't say anything about the fog(although logically it should go away), but to me there is a discrepancy between the brilliance of the chandelier and the room not being lit by it(the color of the room, if lit by electricity, looks kinda yellowish to me, and yours isn't).
Hope I helped. |

Hi all,
I've been trying to get reference for this kind of lighting, and am totally going out of my mind trying to simulate a "real life" looking room like this, lit by the chandelier with moonlight shining through the window. What am I doing wrong here? I am clueless and want to get this just right. |
You would need to get the general lighting more blue IMHO

I have another question, if I may ask. How exactly do you make this light fog/rays, as the first image shows? I was always wandering this.

Hi Sil-Valeor
- I'm in this Forum aswell, looking for "Spooky Lighting" I wondered if you had any succes with your project, as that is another question I wanted to ask (Although I must admit - I have not even tried to play around with it at all yet) I mean FoG If I see anything - I will PM you, I''m not up to your standard yet but maybe sharing could help us? (Unless yours is done by now?).... Scraggy BTW Your scene looked great! - I'm now wondering if just changing the light to "blue" as Carsten said has done the trick and now you have finished - Looks Very Good to me. |
