Free Download for Matte Painting?

Hey All

For those who are interested, Daz are giving away Bryce 5 for FREE!! Yes, FREE!!

Be quick though, its a limited period

Its worth getting, especially those who are looking at Matte painting, (myself for one) Its a great way to kick start your images or even just rendering your own skies for comp shots...heres the link

Oh dear...where have you been?

Its a piece of sofware, that creates and renders pretty good environments, the objects can be exported as obj formats too if you want to do native stuff in Maya or your chosen software.
And as I said a good bit of kit to kick start any potential matte painting project

LMAO, I know (sighs) pitiful....what ever happened to common sense...

Jay;)

Jay, Bro
i have recently realised that if you add up all the commonsense for all but a very select few people of the people in the world...
It equals less than the amount of common sense that God gave Cow sh*t...

PBMan

Hey cool, I'ved used it alot for backdrops, to use as set extensions where I may have adjusted composition or accidently not shot enough in the original render.

Im glad you recommend it too

Hers one Ive done (one of many) for my project, the res was 3k on the original render and Ive adjusted the color and contrast in PS for a more dramatic look

Cheers

Are there any good tutorials on the basics with this application? I tried the Help file, but I'm guessing its not included with the free version.

Jay 29-08-2006 06:26 AM

try at the Daz website, Ive been using this for a few years on and off, I basically fudged my way around it despite having the manuals, but then I dont use it for proper modelling. I'll see if we have the literature here and I'll post some images up etc...

ah, I remember playing with this back in 94 on the Mac (whichever version it was then) and it could do some good stuff even then.
This will definately come in handy!

Edit: lol, must have been v1 back then: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bryce_(software)
