Learning Maya 7 Foundation
 
So is Learning Maya 7 Foundations a good book to buy? It seems like it is really good, haveing color pages and all. and also sketch book pro come with it for free. so any one got this book? think its good or are there better ones? thanks in advance.

yeah, I actually think it's a really good book. It takes you quickly through a number of key concepts and it's pretty easy to understand. Like just about any maya book, there are a couple of mistakes, but nothing too bad and if you get stuck give me a shout and I'll see if I can help.

I have it and its OK. It covers everything, but I would recommend the Complete Reference to Maya 7 or 6 and they are pratically the same.

Enjoy hunting. But I would recommend "The Modelling and Animation Handbook" and "The Special Effects Handbook" if your gonna stick it out, both published by Maya Press.
