Conveyor Belt for a treadmill
hi and hello!
i try to modell a treadmill, but i don't know how to animate it? i wanted to take a plane, but how is it possible that it moves without changing the postition, i'm really confused because i think this can't be so hard, thanks and sorry for this question but i dont know how to start? with curves? or with deformers? |
Personally I think I would use an animated texture, thats probably the easiest way.

you assign a movie as a texture to have an animating texture
you could animate the UVs, not sure if you can or if that's a good thing to do alternatively you could make yourself a plane, attach it to a motion path and then use the motion path > flow path object i found this way of doing stuff when i was looking for ways to animate ribbons it might be what you're looking for |
You can also animate the place2Dtexture node... probably simpler than messing with movie files or UVs. But the flow path looks interesting.
