Brick Texture on PolyCubes

Hi

I am now modeling a kinder garden and the design has some walls placed in parallel but each has a different length

some of then I traced from the plan I was given and others were merely a copy which was rescaled.

I was Using the Planar projection using the same settings (such as U = 3 V = 3
Problem is that in some cases the relation was kept but in others - the texture appeared stretched

Any Idea ?

I may not be understanding your situation, but I would think you could adjust the UVs of the individual walls to get the same texture to work for each.

Yes but in some cases , I had to create a wall out of 3-4 pieces (somtimes Boolean does not work for some unknown reason)

and even when selecting all the faces together (thus creating a 1 UVset) - it is not consistent , although in some cases it is.

When manually twaeking you get to see the seams

Wow Michael - you were quick

On the wall to the right, it seems like the texture filtering filters out the vertical joints, would be pretty easy to turn the filtering off to verify (even if that may lead to ugly aliasing).

Bjorn

TO show the vertical joints I had to set the UV scales to 3 and .2 instead of 3 and 3 .

What I still dont know is why the texture puts itself inconsistently on the planes (I am not suing the Automatic method) ?

I put the final render in the Finished work forum
