can't move keyframes in the graph view

hi there!
When I selevt my Keyframes in the Graph Editor I can't move them. I just want to move them more to the right, which should make my animation longer...
When I try to do it as it is described in my book (MM+shift) the dashboard from mac appears...

Go into the System Prefs> Keyboard & Mouse> Mouse and then change the middle button from Dashboard to Button 3.
