How to select and remove double polygons
Hi,
I have imported a file from a CAD system and unfortunately it has on nearly (not all) every polygon a second one with a reversed normal. When I render it I get these Z-buffer related glitches. I tried to combine them and merged vertices with a small value but had no luck. Can anybody help me with selecting and removing these superflues polygons? I think it is pretty easy... but don't know how to do that! *arrgh* :( Thanks! Holger |
to be honest with you I'm not sure it's as easy as you think. You could script it to go through and find the reversed poly and delete it but I think it could be a real pain in the arse. How complicated is the mesh? Could you reexport it from CAD making sure that the model isn't screwed in the first place?
