Get on over to www.e-onsoftware.com for your VUE6 PLE download. Its 315mb and available with Bit torrent too. Theres no limitiations on the software only that you cant use it commercially. It comes in the standard version or the Vue Xtreme version which is the one thats usuable with Maya scenes.

Well worth it for any portfolio!!

What is Vue? IÕve heard of it before, but I donÕt know what it does.

Also, what other programs do stuff like it? :confused:

Its a 3d landscape app. there are others like bryce and terragen available too, but they have heavier restrictions on the output, and none are compatable with Maya

Thanks for the friendly reply. ;) You could have just told me that there was a video showing what it did.

So you can create sweet environments, but you can put your own created thing from Maya into it, right?

Hmm, I might buy this after I learn ZBrush and more of Maya.

Which is better, Infinite or xStream? I know that xStream is integrated into whatever 3D app you use, but are there any major disadvantages? :confused:

To give you examples of what Vue does check out the Pirates of the Carribean. About 80% of the scenes on the islands for all 3 flms, are done with VUE and Compositing. Vue is gr8. Try it Easy to use hard to master :)
