Hi all, here is my new upload the reading lamp model with wireframe graphices.
Before I'm always use polygon to create but some details will be hard. If can combine nurbs and polygon will bring you good design. This model create with nurbs and polygon. BTW my bad English. |

update test maxwell render.
|
i used to have that lamp!
looks like a good start - though some of your mesh looks a little dense in places. how did you make the holes / slits in the top? |
;)
Hi arran, you found me haha. the holes are easy for nurbs. I will show you setup graphics after i go home. see you later and keep up. |
the modeling looks pretty good,
The Maxwell render looks a bit of an over kill for this though. I'm sure you could get it like that very easily in mental ray with a lot less time. |
Actually it would require much more setup time in Mental Ray than in Maxwell, but the render would be faster. So it depends on what you mean with faster...

Hello all, the reading lamp and note book maybe after some books, phone, fruits... on the table.
In here special appreciate to ARRAN and DJbLAZER, Thanks again. Update note book render testing with maxwell (model not finish yet). |
Nice work with the lamp, you seem to know your way around NURBS, something I have postponed for too long....
The laptop just seems like two planes with textures.... |

Hi DJbLAZER, nice see you again. I so glad. before I always used NURBS that's good create and faster, but I'm keep thinking POLYGON with geometry will be better, so try it.
Yeah two planes, here with wireframe graphices. |
