Hi guys, im having problems in texturing the iris below with an texture that i made in Photoshop. How i texture the iris below? The shape has to be a polygon shape or nurbs? Help please:rolleyes:

im not too hot when it comes to texturing, but maybe you want to take a UV snapshot of the shape and work the iris image over that in photoshop? dnt really understand UVs

hey Nem no time no see :D, thats what ive made, the texture is ready to be put into the iris shape but i dont know how!! Ive attached it to the blinn's colour but the effect is realy far from what im looking for :(!!!

Can we see a screeny of what your problem is?
/*SHAMELESS PLUG Also, in case you wanted it for future use, here is an action I made that creates a custom iris texture automaticly: http://share.studio.adobe.com/axAsse...26allprods%3D0 END SHAMELES PLUG */ Also, have you tried a simple planar map? |

Thx for link ragecgi !! Ill se if it works :D. here's an update for the texture all by hand made in photoshop!!
|
my problem is that i dont know how to project this texture at the shape in the picture above!!
|
When you map a texture to the color of your material, at the top of the Create Texture window you have 3 choices, the default and most used one being Normal. You can, if you wish, choose to use a Projection. This will create a placement node in your scene which you can place that shows how the texture will project on the surface you apply it to.
|
or if your shape is nurbs interactive placement will fix the problem, im sure of that :)

Thx alot guys for your help :D ill do that

You'll probably want to parent them to the eyeball and then you can just hide them.
