softbody whiskers
In the seal project I was working on, the textbook called for making the seals whiskers a soft body, weighting them, and making the original shape a goal.
They are a simple nurbs object curved downward and using a texture as opacity to make the individual whiskers. Because the text was written for a much earlier version of maya, the tools used to do this would seem to be different. Can someone tell me what must be done to accomplish this in maya 6.5? |
Hey...you are talking about salty right?...I did this one a while ago with the newest book (learning maya foundation 6)....it's still pretty much the same thing....like you said.....using a nurbs cylinder....creating softbody....setting goal weigths, adding gravity and then finally adding a spring to the soft body....hope that helped...have fun
