keep it up, which tablet u r using? |
Thanks don,
Wacom Bamboo Fun Pen and Touch. Still trying to get used to it!!! bloody thing. cheers bullet |
I've been using a tablet very infrequently for a few years, and I'm still not used to it and it causes me much frustration. I guess it just takes a crapload of practice.
|
I bloody hear ya there stwert....very frustrating man!!
cheers bullet |
I have a WACOm A3 intuos and it works like a charm, I used to find it awkward, but now I use it al the time except when selecting stuff then I use a mouse( especially textcopying =absolute nightmare with a tablet sometimes).
I suck at drawing however but luckily I can blame the Wacom for that as well thanks to you guys :) Nice skull btw ( check on proportions their a bit of) |
Thanks mastone......yeh they are a bit off BUT I will blame the tablet..bahahahahaha.
Im still getting used to NOT doing it with a pencil and looking at the screen instaed. A rather difficult task I might add...kudos to the people who can do this for a living! cheers bullet |
looking good bro!
would you be interested to know that Leonardo Da Vinci found a formula for the skull? along with the whole human figure. Michaelangelo and other artists have similiar formulas as well. It deals with a box and lots of triangles. It's a very interesting formula that will let you always make a very proportionate skull... for the entire skeletal system. It progresses into more and more covering the human figure and the methods used there. I found it very informative. This guy Riven Pheonix has some good material he teaches. Some like him, some dont. He's boring to listen to, fascinating to watch and learn from. I have used one of the Vilppu manuals and it simply didnt stick in my mind as this does. if you have 22 minutes check this out, it's enlightening and just a start :D http://www.alienthink.com/strM8.html |
Cheers mate...I will check it out. Yes I have heard of the formulae.....I can do better with a REAL pencil...trust me. As for proportion...well I dont go with the perfect thing...lets face it all of us are SLIGHTLY different in proportion. I guess for a base 3D mesh thats a fair call, as you can stretch it etc etc.
I remember seeing a book somewhere (cant remember) where all of the body was organised into cubic and triangular dimensions. I think I was in high school (just before they invented electricity). Thanks but mate...I will dine on knowledge in my lunchbreak today...just have to get the headphones in as my Neaderthal workmates HATE anything like this learning stuff. Cant have that you know...its lunchtime!!! LOL actually thats not fair on our Neanderthal cousins...they would probably surpass my mates in a lot of ways...LOL. cheers bullet |
