Can't Find Extrude Tool ?????????
 

How do I find my Extrude tool, it seems to be lost. Not sure if there's a hot key or something of that natural in maya 8. This is the tool that has all 3 tool included move, rotate, scale and the reverse circle button at the top left.



Please help.... :(

Nevermind I found it. For those that might run into this same problem, you would simply turn on your history button at the top right side of the menu (scroll looking button).

Does anyone know how to find Extrude Edge tool? I found Extrude but have no idea where to find Extrude Edge

extrude edge??.. just rightclick on your model then choose edge
pick youre edge u neeed 2 extrude and extrude it...

I know that there is Extrude Face and Extrude Edge...Plain Extrude is Extrude Face and i'm pretty sure there should be Extrude Edge

yah than u need to set your poly on edge
en then extruding like u do with faces.. but then on edges..

thats the far i know.. i only use maya for about 2 week

In Maya 2008 it is under Edit Mesh - Extrude. Extrude is now combined and does both faces and edges.

ive got maya 8.0 unlimitid thougt i needed to do with rightklick on the poly ,,, put on edge then just extrude...

or am i wrong?

I don't have Maya 8, don't think that version lasted long. But I checked in Maya 8.5 and they are combined in it also. About Maya 8, sorry haven't got it to refer to.

im quite sure it goes like that i told...
but like i said i only use it for 2 weeks... im starting to finally finding out the program,,

but i know one thing,, its great to model with it and its a huge program

same problem here when I extrude my extrude move toll doesn't appear anymore.

That's probably the 'Keep Construction History' button.
Should be in one of the tabs.
