Nice, it looks like a ferrari hit a cadillac GTS...I like it.

I love the renders. The car itself is pretty cool. Im not too fond of a few parts of the car itself, but it looks good overall. What textures and rendering technique did you use?

thats one sick big brake and rotor. Nice job, im also not fond of the front but im really not fond of concepts, but anyone who see this pic can tell you know how to model. Great job

Great work

How did you model the wheels???

younglion 18-05-2006 05:35 PM

@magicsy and pbman - thanx for the comments ;)
@ Gamester - by wheels do you mean the rims and the tire?.....well with the tire i model one strip of the tire pattern the duplicated it a bunch of times merged the pieces, then i i went to deform> non linear cluster>bend. then i rotated the bend to match my tire tread, i went into the history and increased the curvature.
for the rims i modeled one part of the spokes the dulicated it a # of times and rotated them.
i know this is not intuitive but ill find links for modelling them and post them later.

how do you get that bend to worek because it works nothing like it does in max. ive been tryin to use it but i either get no bend or too much bend

gster123 18-05-2006 07:44 PM

Looks cool man.

Just as a matter of intrest did you use a fresnell (dont think thats spelt right) effect on the paintwork as it looks a little too reflective on the red render s of the car.

But hey its a WIP not a finished project.
