I am new around here so first of all,

Hello everybody, I am Marlies.

This is a gas cooker with oven I made. I used my own very old cooker as example.

Hi Marlies, welcome to SimplyMaya!!!

I really like your rendering, specially the colors you use. For how long have you been using Maya?

Marlies 24-01-2006 09:19 AM

Thanks!

I've been using maya for 8 months or so. The first thing I ever made was the infamous bouncing ball, from the 'learning maya foundation' book.

I remember those, along with Salty the Seal.

Would be interested in seeing a wireframe of your modell. The texturing looks good, welldone.

First of all, thanks for the compliments! :)

I didn't keep the entire initial wireframe model after smoothing, and a smoothed wire-frame model isn't really interesting I guess. So this is just a picture of some of the parts of the cooker before I smoothed the whole thing. The topology of the door isn't quite right in the corners. I changed that later on, because the model looked weird after smoothing.

Salty the seal, who could ever forget her ;) (or the infamous bouncing ball, that allways shows up. Not only if you're gonna learn maya, but also if you're gonna learn flash...)

It's looking good, like was said earler. You should do your whole kitchen.
