deleting 'empty' transform nodes in outliner
Hey guys,
I was wondering if there was anyway to delete transform nodes in the outliner, as in the ones that are just the white squares, look similar to the group nodes, its like they are empty group nodes, that don't show they hierarchal to anything but end up deleting geometry when I click delete on them. Cheers, Chris |
Did you try using the Optimize Scene Size command?

Ya, unfortunately it was coming up with some scripting errors, nothing particularly obvious though, looked like it was coming up with some internal errors from start up.
hhmmmm, any other ideas guys, its not a huge problem but would be useful to clean up outliner a bit. Chris |
well, you can just stick them in a group - but that doesn't really get rid of them.
What you need to do is find what polygon they control, select it, then go to edit->delete by type->history. In most cases this will delete the nodes themselves; otherwise, the relationship is now gone, so you can delete the node safely. |
