any one know where i could find a really good manual for cloth???

there is a good book called Learning Maya 6: Unlimited Features, has some fairly good tutorials but they can be difficult to grasp... but doing cloth can drive you insane :( apart from that theres a good one on this site on modelling a t-shirt (althought not a manual its still just as good)
