March Challenge. Witchy. N00b.
 
A late entry but I should have something to post up later on this weekend with work so far- I wanted to see if I could get it going before entering.

Having seen some of the entries I fear I am a long way behind in time spent and skills!

My entry will be called 'The Heart Surgeon' and will be a cartoon style automated surgical robot with an interesting core. Hopefully some pics to follow shortly.

Bit of an update of work in progress on the body of the robot and it's battery trailer. Legs from one of my other models, as yet unfinished, work quite well in this scale :)

Every remote control robot needs a controller.....this challenge has given me a reason to get started on my first character - C and C more than welcome (all a bit unsmoothed at present)

I really like the legs of the Robot, and the feet of your character. I think that you had alittle influence from the Starwars ATST. :)

It's all true!

It's working on that that gave me the idea for how this robot was going to look and I've modified some of the leg parts I made for that model too.

I'm pleased with the boots at present, they took ages but have come out pretty well considering. I saw some great ones (bit higher in the leg and rather better than mine) in a nurbs tutorial, but as I am struggling to learn nurbs I couldn't follow it and thought I would try and recreate the looks in polys and subds instead. The rest of the body is just getting started really. For some reason I seem to be building everything from the feet up!

Quick update started work on the head. He's based on an avatar I use in other places (I don't really look like that).

And lastly a bit of a robot update with waste bin and alien remains roughed in as well as the turntable for the instrument arms.
