Extrude a CV line or an Illustrator file
 

This may be really easy but I can't figure out how to do this.
I want to take the attached file and use it as a template then use a pen tool to draw the object and extrude to a thickness. I also then need to bend the walkway to have it come down to say street level, you know like a wheelchair ramp.
I have tried to bring in a illustrator file of the walkway and extrude it in Maya but cannot figure that out either.

Please help if you can.
